Description

A short sample length of blue medium density polyethylene pipe. The blue colouring is an indication that the pipe is designed to be used for water. Underground pipes and ducting has different colours to show different uses: Black: Domestic mains electric cable, low voltage. Red: High voltage electric cables. Yellow: Service and mains gas cable. Blue: Water pipes. Green: Broadband, telephone and non-motorway CCTV cables. Grey: BT or telecommunications cables. Purple: Motorway service cables for speed cameras, traffic cameras, emergency phones etc. Orange: Street lighting and traffic signalling cables.
