Description
A box of three TP5X golf balls by TaylorMade circa 2023. One of the balls has been cut in half to reveal its layers. Constructed of four increasingly stiff layers with an outer dimpled layer of polyurethane. The three inner-most layers comprise the Tri-Fast core of the ball. It consists of a large, low compression inner core and progressively stiffer outer core and mantle, resulting in lower drag and increased distance the ball will travel after being hit. The fourth and firmest High Flex layer effectively converts compression into speed, acting like a tightly wound spring that builds enery and rebounds quickly. The final, outer layer is of soft polyurethane which is pinched between the rigid inner cover and the club. Impact forces this soft layer into the club's grooves resulting in high spin. Each ball is 42mm in diameter. Measurements given are for the box of three.
