Description
A large tumbler made from polypropylene that has been engineered to degrade without leaving behind toxins or microplastics. It can be recycled with other polypropylene waste and, if carelessley disposed of in the environment, will break down over time when exposed to light, air, moisture, turning into a harmless wax like structure drawing in microbes and bacteria. The material was developed over a period of 5 years by Polymateria Ltd. Imperial College London in association with eGreen. It is reinforced by the Brisish Standard BSI PAS 9017, verifying that the material can biodegrade without causing harm. This colourless tumbler is printed with information about the material from which it is made and a QR code.
