Description
A punched hole key card for Forte Hotels. Likely made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), the 27 holes on the card would fit the corresponding lock's unique mechanism in order to open. The technology was first developed in the 1970s by Norweigan, Tor Sornes, who invented the first recodable keycard lock as an alternative to traditional metal keys. This example dates circa 1980s-1990s.
