Description
A fruit bowl moulded and finished by hand c.2023 by Charlesworth & Son Ltd. using the original 1920s Bandalsta moulds from Brookes & Adams. The bowl is made in two parts comprising a large shallow bowl with a screw on pedestal. It is made from compression moulded melamine formaldehyde in 'bandarouge', an orange colour with red, yellow and blue marbling. It is to be noted that because the original moulds have been used it would appear that the material from which this item is made is Beatl (urea formaldehyde). However it is actually made from melamine, supplied by BIP to create the same flow properties as the original material which they no longer produce.
