Kadokeshi plastic eraser

Description

A Kadokeshi 28 corner eraser, designed by Hideo Kanbara in 2001 and manufactured by Kokuyo Co. Ltd, a Japanese stationery and furniture company. Kado translates as corner and keshi means erase. Attempting to solve the problem of quickly worn corners on a traditionally shaped rectangular or cubed eraser, Hideo Kanbara created this innovative form consisting of ten staggered cubes. The rubber material has been specifically engineered for increased strength to support each cube. Winner of the Kokuyo Design Award in 2002, jumbo, mini and keychain variants were produced.
