Braun HLD5 hairdryer

Description

An orange coloured, compact, rectangular Braun HLD5 hairdryer with rounded corners and edges. Designed in 1972 by Reinhold Weiss, Jurgen Geubel and Heinz Ullrich Haase for Braun AG. Model 4406. Originally sold as part of a hairdressing set, the accessories are missing with this example. The HLD5 has a short minimal nozzle and the air intake consists of a series of 13 horizontal and parallel slits on the side. Two operational buttons on the handle provide power and speed control. Manufacturing details printed onto the top include the warning 'do not take into bathroom'.
