Description

A transparent, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) inflatable stool, originally designed by Verner Panton in 1960. Technical difficulties with the welding of the seams meant that the stool could not be commercially mass-produced at that time. This re-issue was manufactured by Verpan for Prada in 2018 and was sold as a limited edition in stores and online. It has strings holding the tension between two sides to help maintain the structure when it is sat on. The stool was selected as seating for the Prada spring/summer 2019 fashion shows held in Milan. Inscribed Verner Panton VERPAN for PRADA, Verpan is an official licensee of Verner Panton Design AG and exclusively owns all of Panton's designs. In original box with warranty, battery powered pump and 3 nozzle attachments.
